Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Assistant Operations Manager to support the day-to-day coordination of drivers, schedules, and transportation logistics. This role will assist with staff oversight, route assignments, and service compliance. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, communicating with drivers and clients, and is willing to step in and drive when coverage is needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in managing daily transportation operations and dispatching routes
- Support driver scheduling, route adjustments, and call-offs
- Ensure vehicles and drivers are operating in compliance with company and regulatory standards
- Provide on-the-road coverage when a driver is unavailable
- Maintain communication with clients, caregivers, and staff
- Help monitor performance, training needs, and policy adherence
- Assist with administrative duties such as documentation, incident reporting, and staff support
Requirements
- Valid drivers license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass CORI/SORI and background screenings
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Reliable, professional, and able to problem-solve in real time
- Comfortable driving wheelchair-accessible vehicles (training provided if needed)
Schedule & Compensation
- Full-time, with occasional on-call coverage as needed
