What You’ll Do
We’re looking for a hands-on, detail-oriented operator to run our label finishing equipment and help deliver high-quality printed labels and packaging in a manufacturing setting.
In this role, you’ll:
- Set up and operate finishing equipment such as slitters, rewinders, die cutters, and inspection systems
- Perform job changeovers, including loading materials, setting tensions, and adjusting machine settings
- Complete start-up checklists and ensure jobs are run according to specifications
- Inspect labels using a video monitor and visual inspection to ensure quality, color, and registration accuracy
- Identify, flag, and document defective material and communicate issues to leadership
- Monitor production speeds, minimize waste, and meet daily production targets
- Accurately record label counts, downtime, and production data in logs or systems
- Package finished product according to customer specifications
- Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting to keep equipment running efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area (5S practices)
- Communicate effectively with team members and the next shift regarding job status, issues, and priorities
What You’ll Bring
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1–3 years of machine operation experience (printing or manufacturing preferred)
- Strong mechanical skills and attention to detail
- Basic math and ruler-reading ability
- Team-player attitude — willing to jump in and help wherever needed
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet
