Position Title: Lead Teacher (Multiple Positions Available)

Montessori Kids Universe Waltham is seeking lead teachers for our Infant to school age classrooms (ages 6 weeks to 6 years). The Lead Teachers must excel at preparing the environment, taking overall responsibility for creating and maintaining an orderly, safe, and appropriately challenging learning environment for children in the class.

The ideal candidate will possess:

● Montessori credential or demonstrate a commitment to completing Montessori training

● Experience working with children

● Genuine warmth and love for guiding children (and their families!)

Position Details:

• Full time, 40 hours per week, with attendance at staff meetings and occasional night / weekend events outside of regular hours required.

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or beyond in related field.
• Montessori certification for ages 0-3 or in training / willingness to undertake training.
• EEC qualified or certified.
• Experience working in a Montessori classroom.
• Letter of interest/cover letter, resume, and at least two references are required to be considered for this position.

You will be responsible for sustaining an authentic Montessori environment. You will encourage the children to think creatively, to solve problems independently and respect themselves and others. The Montessori Method sparks imagination, assists children in making positive choices, and helps the students build self-esteem while they discover new things each day.
