Job Description Shape the flow of a food plant’s day

Imagine starting your shift at Ken’s Foods in Marlborough, MA, walking a climate-controlled production floor where dressings and sauces roll smoothly from blend to bottle. As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic, you’re the go-to expert who keeps our process and packaging lines humming—from mixers and pumps to labelers and case packers. You’ll access all areas of the plant and grounds to get the job done, solving problems before they slow the line.

What you’ll tackle

  • Hunt down and resolve faults across facility components and systems, minimizing downtime.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and repair automated packaging equipment.
  • Diagnose and service pump systems; apply pump theory in real time.
  • Apply pneumatic and hydraulic principles to troubleshoot and repair actuators, valves, and circuits.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics to track signals and power.
  • Work safely around low- and high-voltage circuits; isolate issues in motor and device controls.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical control and power circuits, including PLC-driven and solid-state equipment.
  • Weld (gas and arc) and solder for robust, lasting repairs.
  • Support facility utilities: steam, hot water, compressed air, and refrigeration.
  • Handle basic plumbing and carpentry tasks for a reliable, neat finish.
  • Identify and source parts from manuals and prints; document clear written and verbal instructions.

Your background

  • 3+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or a related environment, or equivalent.
  • High school diploma or GED (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Massachusetts: Special to Operate Engineering License (Steam Plant) required; we provide license training if you don’t already have it.
  • Pass the Standard Timing Model mechanical test with a score of 60% or better.

  • Multiple shifts available
