Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing essential health services within a vibrant middle school environment. This full-time, onsite role offers the chance to work Monday through Friday, supporting a diverse student population from August 24, 2026, through June 17, 2027. With a typical caseload reflecting the broad needs of a middle school, your expertise will make a meaningful impact as the primary nurse for the school building. This position is not a 1:1 assignment; rather, it allows you to use your clinical skills and judgment across a whole campus.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active RN license recognized by the state of New Hampshire
- Department of Education School Nurse certification
- Recent experience in a school nursing or similar pediatric RN role
- Strong assessment, triage, and communication abilities
- Demonstrated ability to manage a variety of day-to-day health concerns, implement student care plans, and respond to emergencies
- District fingerprint clearance (required before start date)
- Comfortable with onsite responsibilities, supporting students and staff across the school
- Reliability and commitment to the full academic contract period
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing direct care to students experiencing injury, illness, or emotional distress during school hours
- Managing medication administration and health care procedures in compliance with state laws and school policy
- Maintaining accurate health records and monitoring immunization compliance
- Participating in IEP/504 meetings and collaborating with educators, families, and external healthcare providers
- Educating students and staff about health matters, wellness, and disease prevention
- Responding to health-related emergencies and developing individualized interventions as needed
