Desired Qualifications:
- Current and unencumbered RN license
- Proven experience in an operating room setting
- Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing principles and practices
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and focused in fast-paced situations
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and technologists before, during, and after surgical cases
- Prepare and maintain the sterile field, ensuring proper instrumentation and supplies
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and responses to anesthesia and surgical intervention
- Accurately document all aspects of care and maintain patient safety regulations
- Provide postoperative care and patient education as needed
- Uphold infection control protocols and hospital policies
- Support and guide less experienced staff or students as appropriate
