Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A full-time Special Education Teacher position is available in the Dover, NH area, serving a middle school setting. This contract role offers the opportunity to work with students in Life Skills classrooms, supporting diverse learners and facilitating their educational development in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to meet the unique needs of students in grades 6 through 8.
- Provide specialized instruction and support within Life Skills classrooms.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success.
- Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education.
- Experience working with middle school-age students, preferably within Life Skills or similar programs.
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.
