Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a rewarding role supporting young learners near Woodstock, VT as an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist in a vibrant school environment. This contract opportunity runs from August 2026 to June 2027 and offers full-time hours (37.5/week), emphasizing individualized care with a manageable caseload of just 40 elementary-aged students, spanning Pre K through 8th grade.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders required
- Active SLP license in Vermont (or eligibility to obtain)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; also open to Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates
- Experience working in school or pediatric settings is highly valued
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- A positive, student-centered approach and commitment to supporting diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide direct therapy for students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in partnership with teachers, staff, and families
- Deliver evidence-based interventions to foster communication, literacy, and social skills
- Maintain accurate documentation of progress, goals, and outcomes
- Serve as a resource for classroom staff to integrate strategies into daily instruction
- Participate in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team discussions
