Key Responsibilities:
Test Configuration
- Set up engineering-defined tests for fluid components and assemblies (valves, pumps, motors, etc.).
- Perform test setups according to verbal instructions, written procedures, and industry standards such as MIL-STD-810 and DO-160.
- Utilize instrumentation including pressure and temperature gauges, flow meters, oscilloscopes, accelerometers, torque meters, tachometers, and computerized data acquisition systems.
Test Execution
- Conduct engineering-defined tests on fluid components and assemblies following established procedures and standards.
- Monitor test inputs to ensure requirements are met throughout the test cycle.
- Evaluate outputs, interpret results, and verify compliance with data collection requirements.
- Maintain accurate and complete test records and documentation.
Measurement
- Perform physical and functional measurements such as size, weight, hardness, density, flow, pressure, temperature, power, torque, and acceleration.
Calibration
- Ensure all test equipment is properly calibrated to approved standards.
- Maintain calibration records for all test instrumentation.
- Perform internal calibrations and coordinate external calibration services when required.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of related experience, trade training, military training, or demonstrated ability to perform job responsibilities.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical procedures.
- Basic math skills and the ability to assemble simple fluid flow circuits using piping, hoses, fittings, tanks, and gauges.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Prior experience with data acquisition systems is a plus.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
