Job Description

Cable Assembler II – Temp-to-Perm | $21–$23/hr | Beverly, MA

Join a growing manufacturing team where precision, craftsmanship, and reliability matter. We’re hiring two experienced Cable Assemblers for a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity in Beverly, MA.

  • Pay Rate: $21.00–$23.00/hr
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (or 6:00 AM–2:30 PM)
  • Type: Temp-to-Perm
  • Job ID: bh18072

About the Role

As a Cable Assembler II, you’ll be responsible for building cable assemblies from start to finish using Manufacturing Work Instructions (MWIs). You’ll work hands-on with wire cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, and inspection. Candidates should have prior hands-on manufacturing and soldering experience—academic or classroom training alone is not sufficient.

This is a great fit for someone who enjoys detailed assembly work, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can follow technical instructions with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build cable assemblies to print, drawings, and MWIs
  • Measure and cut wire and cable to specified lengths
  • Strip wires, crimp terminals (manual or machine), and solder plugs and terminals
  • Repair and rework products when needed
  • Use small hand tools with precision
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 1+ year of cable assembly and soldering experience (non-academic)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and written instructions
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Basic math skills — able to measure in inches and fractions
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Residency (ITAR requirement)
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Skills

  • IPC-610 and/or IPC-620 certification
  • Experience soldering wires and pins
  • Familiarity with G4 assembly

Additional Details

  • Candidates will complete a soldering test during the interview (wires and pins to terminals).
  • Drug screen: 4-panel (THC not disqualifying)
  • Physical requirements: repetitive use of hand tools, lifting up to 25 lbs., standing/walking during shift

If you’re a detail-oriented assembler who enjoys hands-on work and producing quality results, we’d love to meet you.

Apply today to be considered for an interview and on-site soldering test.
