Step into a rewarding full-time contract opportunity working alongside dedicated educators and young learners. This position is perfect for a skilled Physical Therapist who enjoys supporting student growth and collaborating within school communities. With a schedule of 30 hours per week, you’ll engage with preschoolers and select elementary-aged students in an onsite setting. The role is set to begin as soon as possible and extends through June 15, 2027, with the possibility of an extension if a permanent hire has not yet been made.
Key Qualifications:
- Current and active Physical Therapy license or certification in Massachusetts
- Prior school-based experience is essential
- Experience working with preschool and elementary populations strongly preferred
- Must be able to work onsite throughout the assignment
- Credited candidates will be given priority consideration
- Completion of required CORI and fingerprint background checks
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver school-based physical therapy services to preschool and elementary students in accordance with IEP goals and district requirements
- Assess students’ physical abilities and collaborate with staff to integrate therapy strategies into classroom routines
- Communicate and consult with team members, families, and educators to support student progress
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation of therapy sessions, evaluations, and progress notes
- Participate in student evaluations, team meetings, and contribute to effective care planning
