We are excited to announce that New England Neurological Associates (NENA) has partnered with Lowell General Hospital and is looking for a Rheumatologist to become part of our team.

Department Overview:

  • Collaborative Healthcare: NENA consists of a cohesive team of 28 Physicians and Advanced Practice Clinicians, integrated within the Tufts Medicine Health System, which includes over 700 affiliated doctors and a clinical partnership with Tufts Medical Center.
  • Specialized Areas: Our subspecialties encompass epileptology, stroke, movement disorders, neuroimmunology, neuromuscular conditions, and migraine management.
  • Teamwork: NENA provides care to more than 64,000 patients across the Merrimack Valley. Through our collaboration with Tufts Medicine, we aim to enhance healthcare access, including plans for a neuro-immunology program and the establishment of a Memory Center.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Community Engagement: As an Outpatient Rheumatologist, you will serve the culturally rich community of greater Lowell, MA, from our offices in Chelmsford and Westford.
  • Patient-Centric Approach: With over 50 years of service, NENA stands as one of the largest multispecialty neuroscience practices in the region. Our primary commitment is to ensure our patients' comfort, convenience, and enhancement of their quality of life in a friendly and efficient manner.   • The Rheumatology Division addresses a variety of conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, systemic inflammatory arthritis, bone disorders, joint pain, musculoskeletal pain syndromes, local and systemic sclerosis, vasculitis, inflammatory diseases, and other autoimmune disorders.
  • Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will provide continuous care for patients within a single practice, supported by Nurse Practitioners and flexible scheduling that allows for documentation time during your workday. NENA aims to be the preferred choice for patients, a desirable workplace for doctors, and an excellent environment for employees.

Work Schedule:

We offer both part-time and full-time positions. Full-time hours typically run from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. There is no hospital call required, and practice call is 1:2, averaging about 3-6 calls per month for critical lab results.

Qualifications:

Applicants must hold a Physician (MD or DO) degree or its foreign equivalent, along with board certification in Rheumatology to be fully licensed and credentialed as an attending physician at Lowell General Hospital.
