Now Hiring: Quality Control Technician (Temp-to-Perm)
Shrewsbury, MA | $28–$35/hr | Manufacturing Environment
Ardent Staffing is partnering with a growing manufacturing facility in Shrewsbury, MA to hire a Quality Control Technician. This is a hands-on, temp-to-perm opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who takes pride in precision and accuracy and understands the importance of being the final checkpoint for product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections
- Use micrometers, calipers, gauges, and microscopes to inspect parts and identify defects
- Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tolerances
- Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation
- Compile inspection data and generate quality reports
- Ensure inspection equipment is properly calibrated
- Identify and communicate quality issues to prevent defects from reaching customers
- Support ISO 9001 standards, audits, and quality system requirements
- Collaborate with production to align quality checks with workflow
- Promote 5S, lean manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment
- Daily use of micrometers, calipers, gauges, and visual inspection tools (microscope) is required
- Strong understanding of tolerances, precision measurement, and inspection processes
- Experience working with mechanical or electro-mechanical components
- Ability to read and interpret complex drawings and specifications
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and ERP systems
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment
