Role Description

\n

The Mobile Integrated Healthcare Paramedic is a full-time, on-site role based in Worcester, MA, focused on delivering community-based, out-of-hospital care to patients where they live. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting patient assessments, providing appropriate interventions within paramedic scope of practice, and coordinating care with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals. The paramedic will respond to scheduled and unscheduled visits, support chronic disease management, assist with care transitions, and help reduce avoidable emergency department visits and hospital readmissions. The role involves documenting all encounters accurately in electronic medical records, following clinical protocols, and participating in quality improvement activities. This position also requires educating patients and families, engaging with community resources, and maintaining readiness of equipment, vehicles, and supplies to ensure safe, efficient operations.

Qualifications

  • Current Paramedic certification/licensure in Massachusetts, with eligibility to practice at the advanced life support level.

  • Recent field experience in EMS, mobile integrated healthcare, community paramedicine, or related acute care settings.
  • \n

  • Demonstrated competence in patient assessment, clinical decision-making, and evidence-based emergency and non-emergent interventions.
  • \n

  • Strong skills in clear documentation, use of electronic medical records, and adherence to clinical protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • \n

  • Ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams, including skills in patient education and motivational interviewing.
  • \n

  • Comfort working in community and home environments, with sound judgment, professional demeanor, and respect for patient privacy and cultural differences.
  • \n

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record for operating company vehicles, with attention to safety and local regulations.
  • \n

  • Willingness to work full-time on-site in Worcester, MA, with flexibility in scheduling, including possible evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • \n

  • Basic proficiency with mobile devices, telehealth tools, and clinical technology used for remote monitoring and communication.
  • \n

  • CPR certification and advanced life support certifications (e.g., ACLS, PALS) preferred.
