Position Overview
TheSenior Scheduler provides critical scheduling support for project teams managing a diverse portfolio of construction projects ranging from $1 million to $200 million. This individual will play a key role throughout both the Project Pursuit and Execution phases, ensuring projects are planned, monitored, and completed with precision.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Pursuit & Preconstruction
- Support teams through pursuit and execution phases.
- Assist with proposals, interviews, and RFP submissions.
- Provide input on logistics, scheduling, and constructability.
- Collaborate with Estimating, Marketing, and Management teams.
- Represent scheduling expertise in client meetings and presentations.
- Align project strategy with preconstruction planning.
Project Execution & Schedule Management
- Develop and maintain baseline project schedules.
- Track progress and update schedules regularly.
- Lead schedule reviews with operations teams.
- Identify and assess schedule impacts and risks.
- Manage schedule recovery and issue resolution.
- Oversee scheduling from preconstruction through closeout.
Data Analysis & Forecasting
- Maintain historical schedule data for benchmarking.
- Resource- and cost-load schedules for cash flow forecasting.
- Prepare concise monthly schedule narratives.
Technology & Innovation
- Use scheduling software to track and communicate progress.
- Stay current on scheduling tools and best practices.
- Integrate Lean methods like CPM, linear, and Takt planning.
Training & Continuous Improvement
- Coach staff on scheduling processes and tools.
- Support continuous learning on methods and standards.
- Maintain organized and accurate schedule documentation.
Qualifications
- 4-6 years of scheduling experience with advanced P6 experience required.
- Strong presentation and proposal skills
- Proficient in using Excel, especially with large data sets
- Extensive knowledge of all trades and phases of the preconstruction process, including scope, timelines, field execution, missed scope/exposures, conceptual and final pricing, competitive bidding, and market conditions.
- Lean certification or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
- Expertise in additional scheduling software such as TouchPlan, Synchro, and MS Project preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated salary range for this position is$130,000$180,000 annually, representing the companys good-faith and reasonable estimate of potential compensation at the time of posting. The final offer will be based on factors such as experience, skills, responsibilities, and current market conditions.
