Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is vital to keeping the motel's facilities in excellent working condition. You’ll be responsible for performing routine maintenance, responding to repair requests, and ensuring that all mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and structural systems are functioning properly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general repairs and preventive maintenance tasks across motel rooms and facilities

• Troubleshoot and fix minor plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry issues

• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from front desk or housekeeping staff

• Inspect the property for safety hazards and address them proactively

• Maintain exterior grounds (e.g., landscaping, trash removal, snow/ice management if applicable)

• Keep records of work performed and materials used

• Assist with room turnovers and special projects as needed

Requirements:

• Previous experience in general maintenance or a skilled trade is preferred

• Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems

• Ability to work independently and efficiently

• Strong communication skills and a friendly, guest-first attitude

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks

• Reliable transportation and punctuality are a must
