We are looking for both Experienced and Entry Level Seasonal Tax Preparers for the 2027 filing season! Experience with H&R Block, Jackson Hewitt, Liberty Tax, a CPA firm, or similar is a plus. If you do not have experience, we will train!
We will train you specifically on Liberty Tax software. Because we operate in a fast-paced environment, you must be exceptionally comfortable and fast on Windows PCs (managing files, folders, saving, and printing).
Schedule: Seasonal (January – April 2027) | Full-time preferred but flexible | Evenings and weekends required as needed during peak season. Training begins now and will end December 1st.
Key Qualifications & Skills
- Tax Experience: Real-world individual tax preparation background (please specify where you prepared taxes and how many seasons in your application).
- Technical Skills: Fast data entry, efficient typing, and high comfort level navigating Windows PCs and professional tax software (e.g., Drake, TurboTax, or similar platforms).
- Tax Knowledge: Strong understanding of current tax law, compliance requirements, and reporting standards.
- Communication: Ability to break down complex tax concepts clearly for clients from diverse backgrounds.
- Professionalism: Highly organized, reliable, and possessing business phone etiquette.
- Interpersonal Skills: Friendly, personable, and able to maintain low-pressure, positive interactions with clients.
Responsibilities
- Prepare a wide variety of individual tax returns accurately and efficiently using our tax software.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary documentation, explain tax positions, and answer questions.
- Assist clients with basic tax planning strategies and guidance on financial concepts related to their filings.
- Support client acquisition and retention through exceptional customer service.
