Must have completed Behavior Specialist / ABA Therapy training and have a minimum 1+ years Behavior Therapy experience. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A part-time opportunity is available for a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), or School Adjustment Counselor within a K-12 school setting. This role is designed to support student well-being through behavioral and social-emotional interventions, counseling, and guidance for students, families, and school staff.
Location: Boston, MA
Contract Period: 2025/2026 School Year
Schedule: 8 to 25 hours per week within typical school hours (8:00 AM to 4:00 PM) with flexibility to accommodate individual availability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counseling to students to support social, emotional, and behavioral needs
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and external resources to develop intervention plans
- Conduct assessments and provide guidance related to mental health and school adjustment issues
- Support behavior specialists, social workers, and guidance counselors as part of a multidisciplinary school team
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school policies and confidentiality requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current licensure as LMHC, LCSW, LSW, or certification as a School Adjustment Counselor
- Experience working in K-12 school environments, preferably with behavior specialists or counseling teams
- Strong understanding of child and adolescent development and mental health best practices
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a school culture
