Job DescriptionBachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Elementary Special Education Teacher to join a supportive school community in Wilmington, Vermont. This role focuses on providing individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, helping them achieve academic, social, and emotional success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
• Provide direct instruction in small-group and inclusive classroom settings
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student performance and goals
• Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies and behavior management techniques
• Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid Vermont teaching license with Special Education endorsement (or eligibility to obtain)
• Experience working with elementary-aged students preferred
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
• Passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs

Compensation for this position ranges from $26.93 to $46.93. Eligible candidates may also receive healthcare benefits, housing, and meals/incidentals.
