Job DescriptionSr Project Manager - Mechanical/Heavy Industrial
Key Responsibilities
- Champion all company safety policies and ethical standards.
- Plan project staffing and allocate resources effectively within budget.
- Establish project goals, procedures, and performance standards using company pre‑planning processes.
- Serve as the primary liaison with clients and internal teams to support smooth project execution.
- Direct and support Superintendents to keep projects on schedule and within budget, resolving issues proactively.
- Represent the company in project meetings and support labor‑related discussions as needed.
- Manage financial components of contracts, including fees, purchases, equipment, expenses, and change orders.
- Support company reporting requirements (weekly reports, timecards, reviews, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and prevent at‑risk activities.
- Lead both Design‑Build and Bid‑Build projects, including oversight of the design process.
- Collaborate with Superintendents, crews, and subcontractors to deliver high‑quality results.
- Perform additional duties that support company goals and initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- 10+ years of progressive construction management experience, including leadership on projects of $7.5M or more.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, design principles, financial management, and major building systems (structural, mechanical, electrical, civil).
- Proven leadership ability; highly organized, decisive, and skilled in communication and relationship‑building with clients and subcontractors.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Worcester, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $64.90 - $72.12/hr.
