Job DescriptionSr Project Manager - Mechanical/Heavy Industrial

Key Responsibilities

  • Champion all company safety policies and ethical standards.
  • Plan project staffing and allocate resources effectively within budget.
  • Establish project goals, procedures, and performance standards using company pre‑planning processes.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with clients and internal teams to support smooth project execution.
  • Direct and support Superintendents to keep projects on schedule and within budget, resolving issues proactively.
  • Represent the company in project meetings and support labor‑related discussions as needed.
  • Manage financial components of contracts, including fees, purchases, equipment, expenses, and change orders.
  • Support company reporting requirements (weekly reports, timecards, reviews, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and prevent at‑risk activities.
  • Lead both Design‑Build and Bid‑Build projects, including oversight of the design process.
  • Collaborate with Superintendents, crews, and subcontractors to deliver high‑quality results.
  • Perform additional duties that support company goals and initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
  • 10+ years of progressive construction management experience, including leadership on projects of $7.5M or more.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, design principles, financial management, and major building systems (structural, mechanical, electrical, civil).
  • Proven leadership ability; highly organized, decisive, and skilled in communication and relationship‑building with clients and subcontractors.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Worcester, MA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $64.90 - $72.12/hr.
