Company Overview
We are an Engineering and Construction company, offering design, management and consulting within the Industrial Power and Utilities space. Our team has been around for 30+ years, and continuing to grow. We are now looking to add another Sr Electrical PE to the mixture.
Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license to lead and manage electrical design projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical power systems and will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation and reliability of electrical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical design and analysis of power systems including generation, distribution, and protection systems.
- Conduct project evaluations and feasibility studies to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Prepare technical documentation, including reports, specifications, and drawings for electrical systems.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions for complex engineering problems.
- Perform power system studies using ETAP and SKM software to analyze system performance and identify improvements.
- Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, and other relevant standards throughout all phases of project development.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Electrical Engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on power systems design and analysis.
- Proficiency in ETAP and SKM software for power system analysis.
- Strong understanding of electrical protection systems, including protection relays and coordination studies.
- Experience with motor, generator, transformer, and circuit design is preferred.
- Knowledge of energy distribution and utility construction practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
