What You’ll Do

• Learn and perform core landscape construction tasks
• Install patios, walkways, retaining walls, planting beds, sod, and other assigned landscape features
• Assist with site prep, layout, grading, drainage work, base prep, and finish detail work
• Follow direction from the Construction Supervisor to complete daily work safely, efficiently, and to standard
• Load, unload, stage, and care for tools, equipment, and materials throughout the day
• Help keep trucks, trailers, tools, and jobsites clean, organized, and client-ready
• Work as part of a team to complete projects to company quality standards
• Protect client property and speak up when you see safety risks, site issues, or scope concerns

Installation Skills

• Hardscape installation basics, patios, walkways, steps, edging, retaining walls
• Softscape installation, planting, mulching, bed prep, sod installation
• Site prep, excavation support, grading, base prep, and drainage work
• Reading layout marks, string lines, grades, and basic plans
• Finish-detail work so projects look clean and complete

Tool and Equipment Skills

• Safe use of hand tools and power tools
• Operation of compactors, cut-off saws, demo saws, drills, and tampers
• Safe use of wheelbarrows, levels, layout tools, and material handling tools
• If applicable, basic operation of skid steer or mini excavator
• Daily equipment checks, cleaning, and reporting damage quickly

Quality Skills

• Attention to detail
• Ability to build to standard,
• Spotting issues early, grade problems, alignment issues, loose finish work, cleanup misses
• Keeping the site neat and professional throughout the job
• Following the plan and checking work before moving on
