Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential services during the Extended School Year (ESY) program, supporting high school students within a specialized setting for Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other learning differences. Location:
- Assignment based in Ludlow, MA (within the Lower Pioneer Valley Educational Collaborative)
- Clients main office located in West Springfield, MA
Schedule and Duration:
- Contract from July 6, 2026, through August 7, 2026, with potential to extend into the 2026-2027 school year based on performance
- Part-time hours, approximately 15-20 hours per week over 2-3 days
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services to high school students enrolled in the Compass High Program
- Provide augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) support, with experience preferred though AAC evaluations are not required
- Collaborate with education and support staff to tailor interventions that enhance communication and independence
- Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state requirements and program standards
Qualifications:
- Current state licensure meeting all educational and professional requirements for school-based SLP practice
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) is preferred
- Prior experience working with high school students, especially those with ASD or similar learning differences
- Familiarity with AAC systems and strategies to support student engagement and communication
