What You will Do:

  • Write programs for CNC milling machines using CAD/CAM software to convert engineering drawing models into machine code
  • Determine and optimize the methodologies for manufacturing complex parts. Including selecting appropriate cutting tools
  • Set up and operate CNC millers
  • Choose and load the correct cutting tools for the material to be machined.
  • Create set-up sheets and other documents for the shop floor
  • Ensure that the final product meets all quality specifications and tolerances
  • Analyze the current state of CNC programs.
  • Output new and edit existing programs in NX codes to run articulated automatic CNC machines.
  • Organize and plan work effectively to produce output according to budget and schedule constraints.
  • Troubleshoot programming result errors and work holding issues with production personnel
  • Work alongside production, engineering, and facilities teams to execute project deliverables.
  • Develop, produce, and modify process operations and assembly sheets.
  • Review field and factory failures to identify common failure modes and issues of a systemic nature. Characterize failures and resolve recurring problems through mistake-proofing.

What You Will Bring:

  • Proficiency with CAD/ CAM software, such as Cimatron, Mastercam, and NX.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, PFMEA, and Control plans
  • Experienced with manufacturing process methods & techniques (conventional & CNC).
  • Experience with multi-axis (4 and 5 axis) programming
  • Hands-on experience with CNC setup in a shop floor environment
  • Ability to characterize various tools, gauges, and fixtures.
  • Knowledge of GD&T within a production process. A keen understanding of blueprint interpretation is desired as well.
  • Experienced in AS9100 and basic manufacturing processes, methods, and techniques.
  • Ability to communicate technical subject matter proficiently, both written and verbally
  • 2- 4 years’ experience in CMM setup, inspection, and programming techniques
  • Knowledge of Siemens NX CMM or other CAD/CAM, DEMIS, and MODUS tools
  • Computer skills, including Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel
