Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A well-respected school near Cambridge, MA, is seeking a Special Education Teacher to provide full-time support for 2nd and 3rd grade learners with developmental delays or intellectual impairments. This onsite role runs weekdays from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM and begins as soon as possible, with the assignment continuing through June 25, 2026.

Your experience in a school-based setting is essential, as the position requires working closely with a dedicated educational team to deliver individualized instruction, create supportive learning environments, and promote each student’s growth. Applicants must hold a current Massachusetts license for either Moderate or Severe Disabilities.

Key Qualifications:

  • Active MA certification for Moderate or Severe Disabilities
  • Prior school-based experience
  • Comfortable managing caseloads of young students with developmental or intellectual challenges
  • Willingness to complete a CORI background check and fingerprinting (a letter of suitability from a previous employer may be acceptable for fingerprints)
  • Ability to interview via Zoom

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction to meet each student’s IEP goals
  • Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to individual needs
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborate with colleagues, therapists, and families to support student success
  • Monitor and document student progress
  • Communicate regularly with staff and parents
