Job Description
The Judge Group is seeking a Plant Manager for a manufacturer in the Greater Boston area. The candidate will manage all coordinating, planning and production activities to ensure product value and maximum operating efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Pay attention to all industry trends, including customer needs, ingredients and advancement in new equipment
- Partake in plant safety process
- Maintain and develop department structure by applying knowledge and analysis of plant processing Establish areas of responsibility
- Effectively group production function to meet all objective and production needs
- Create recommendations on all plant and department operations
- Demonstrate an organized approach
- Ensure timeliness of all operations
- Prepare, control and implement budgets for production
- Communicate with plant leadership for effective policy implementation
- Organize responsibilities with all supervisors, including Sanitation, Quality Control, Office and Maintenance
- Stay up to date with all marketing and sales activities that could affect production
- Develop and enforce procedures for all employees to attain production goals
- Maintain positive engagement amongst associates and department managers
- Deliver feedback about plant goals and objectives to leads, associates, and department managers Ensure SQF meets company and regulatory requirements by following policies, practices, and established programs
- Upkeep the implementation, maintenance, ongoing improvement and development of the SQF 2000 Systems
- Responsible for the company quality principles and manufacturing food safety
- Complete performance reviews and give feedback to direct reports
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 7+ years manufacturing experience in a General/Plant Manager capacity
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- High accuracy and precision with great attention to detail
- Extensive knowledge of plant operations and procedures
- Demonstrate mathematical aptitude
- Knowledge of Microsoft suite including: Excel, Work, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Working knowledge of Total Process Control (TPC) or lean manufacturing practices
- Experience with High-Performance Work Systems
