Job Description
The painter is responsible for mixing and applying primers and topcoats in accordance with various aerospace specifications and standards. The ideal candidate will have experience with the operation and maintenance of spray guns and related equipment, strong grasp of safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently to meet production goals.
Duties and Essential Job Functions
Mix paint per manufacturer specifications.
Apply finish as required by print.
Maintain inventory of paints and components.
Understand proper flash times and baking procedures.
Personal Effectiveness Competencies
Ability to understand drawing specifications and apply finishes to final requirements.
Mix paint to desired viscosity to allow for proper application.
Workplace Competencies
Requires a good amount of standing, 4-8 hours per day.
Products not to exceed 25 lbs. to be held at arm’s length or on fixture repetitively
Frequent twists and rotations to move parts from spray booth to baking rack.
