Job Description

Degree in American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting, certified ASL Interpreter credentials, and 1+ year of experience as an ASL Interpreter in educational settings. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A skilled Sign Language Interpreter is needed to provide effective communication support for a high school setting in Keene, NH. This contract position offers an opportunity to apply expert interpreting skills in an educational environment, ensuring all students and staff have equal access to communication.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate accurate and clear sign language interpretation during classroom instruction, meetings, and school events
  • Work closely with students, teachers, and administrative staff to support communication needs
  • Adapt interpreting strategies to various educational settings and individual student requirements
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while supporting the school community

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) with certification or relevant experience
