Are you a hands-on problem solver with a knack for maintenance, organization, and leadership? Do you enjoy working behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly? The Middlebury Natural Foods Co-op is looking for a Facilities Coordinator to help ensure our store and grounds are clean, safe, and well-maintained for staff, customers, and the community.
What You'll Do:
- Oversee and perform maintenance and repair of store equipment and systems
- Coordinate with outside contractors for services like snow removal, landscaping, and pest control
- Monitor and maintain safety, cleanliness, and compliance across the store and grounds
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and balers safely and efficiently
- Keep accurate records, help develop preventative maintenance schedules, and innovate solutions to improve our facilities
- Support staff, provide excellent service, and contribute to a positive work culture
What We're Looking For:
- Building maintenance experience and strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Familiarity with tools, equipment, and safety practices
- Comfortable working indoors, outdoors, and at heights or in tight spaces
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly, stand for long periods
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of refrigeration and mechanical systems
- Forklift or heavy equipment experience
- Familiarity with natural foods and interest in food systems

Starting pay is $22.75-28, depending on experience.

Seeking evening and weekend availability, this is a full-time, 32-40 hour position. Shifts are Sunday through Thursday.
