Senior Manufacturing Engineer - NPI & Operations

Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer with 8+ years of experience in electromechanical assemblies to support New Product Introduction (NPI), process optimization, and manufacturing scale-up. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturability, assembly, testing, and production efficiency while providing hands-on support to manufacturing operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead NPI projects from concept through production ramp-up.
• Improve manufacturing processes using Lean / Six Sigma methodologies.
• Support production operations, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement.
• Develop work instructions, tooling, and fixturing to improve efficiency and quality.
• Collaborate with Quality teams to reduce CAPA/NCMR issues.
• Drive cost reduction and process optimization initiatives.
• Mentor junior engineers and support sustaining engineering efforts.
• Track and report KPIs, OKRs, and manufacturing metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering.
• 8+ years of manufacturing engineering experience with electromechanical products.
• Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, DFMA/DFX principles.
• Experience supporting product launches from concept to production.
• Knowledge of SolidWorks or similar CAD tools.
• Ability to read and troubleshoot electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with ERP/PLM systems; Dynamics 365/Bluestar PLM preferred.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
