In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining a variety of machining equipment to produce high-quality components. Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines and manual lathes, mills, and grinders.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
- Maintain and troubleshoot machining equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and resolve issues.
- Train and mentor junior machinists and apprentices as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in machining preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in machining, with a strong understanding of CNC programming.
- Proficient in using measuring tools and equipment, such as calipers and micrometers.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
