Job Description
Job DescriptionSeize the opportunity to advance your career as a Registered Nurse in CVOR in Burlington, Vermont. In the cardiovascular operating room, your precision and compassion will directly influence outcomes from first incision to final closure. Here, you’ll join a team that values clinical excellence, patient dignity, and lifelong learning, delivering life-changing care in a high-stakes environment. Picture yourself coordinating complex cardiac procedures, partnering with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perfusion teams, and making a tangible difference for patients and families. And beyond the hospital walls, Vermont’s beauty awaits—majestic Green Mountains, the tranquil shores of Lake Champlain, vibrant fall foliage, and a pace of life that blends outdoor adventure with a strong sense of community.
Burlington offers a thriving healthcare ecosystem, a bike-friendly downtown, and easy access to outdoor recreation all year round. Work here and enjoy the advantages of a supportive local network, continuing education options, and a community that values service. For clinicians who crave variety, this role can open doors to assignments across the United States, allowing you to experience diverse facilities, case mixes, and patient populations while staying connected to a dedicated travel support team that is available 24/7. It’s a chance to broaden your CVOR expertise—from busy urban centers to regional community hospitals—without sacrificing security and backing.
As a CVOR RN, you’ll scrub and circulate, set up sterile fields, anticipate equipment and instrument needs, assist surgeons through intricate cardiac procedures, monitor patient status, and ensure meticulous documentation from pre-op through post-op recovery. You’ll coordinate with anesthesia teams, perfusion, and OR staff to maintain patient safety, efficiency, and optimal turnover. This role offers not only immediate responsibilities but a clear path for professional growth—advanced skills in robotics or minimally invasive approaches, specialized certifications, and structured mentorship. In return for your expertise, we provide competitive compensation with weekly pay ranging from $3,080 to $3,255, a potential sign-on bonus, housing assistance, and the opportunity to extend your contract based on performance and department needs. You’ll be supported by a robust infrastructure: on-call and on-site orientation, access to training resources, and a dedicated 24/7 support line while you travel with the company. Hours may vary and are not guaranteed, but you’ll have consistent access to guidance and resources designed to keep you well-supported on every assignment.
At the core, our company is committed to empowering your career—creating a path for advancement, recognizing achievements, and fostering a collaborative, respectful work environment where your voice matters.
Start Date: 03/09/2026. Duration: Weeks. Location: Vermont, Burlington. Weekly pay: $3,080-$3,255. Guaranteed Hours: 0.0. Note: Hours and pay rates are estimates and may vary.
