Make a meaningful impact each day by supporting a student as a dedicated paraprofessional in a welcoming educational environment near Jaffrey, NH. This contract role is ideal for compassionate professionals, including current paraprofessionals as well as LNAs and CNAs who are interested in working within a dynamic life skills program at the middle school level.
In this position, you will offer 1:1 assistance to a student, helping with academic development, daily living skills, and personal care according to an individualized toileting and positioning plan. Your expertise, patience, and encouragement will make a real difference in the student’s educational experience and overall well-being.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Experience as a paraprofessional, LNA, or CNA preferred
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and respectful learning atmosphere
- Ability to provide personal care, including toileting and positioning support
- Familiarity with individualized education and life skills programs beneficial
- Comfortable working with children with diverse needs in a school setting
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Deliver 1:1 academic and life skills support in a middle school environment
- Assist with toileting, hygiene, and mobility as outlined in student care plans
- Collaborate with teaching staff, therapists, and school specialists
- Document daily care and progress reports
- Encourage social and academic growth, engaging the student in classroom activities
- Respond calmly to challenges, adapting to evolving student needs
This contract runs from ASAP through June 2026, Monday through Friday, with hours from 8:50 a.m. to 3:22 p.m. You’ll become an integral part of a compassionate and collaborative team, building experience in both education and healthcare support.
