Haigh-Farr is a premier antenna design, manufacturing and test house developing products used across all platforms in the aerospace industry including missions to Mars, the International Space Station and products fielded to the U.S. Military supporting the warfighter. Haigh-Farr is seeking an experienced CNC/Manufacturing Engineer/Programmer with a strong commitment to achieving quality work on scheduled timelines. The ideal candidate will possess the skills to program, validate, and troubleshoot CNC machine programs.


Requirements:

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement CNC programs from technical drawings and CAD files with detailed setup sheets documentation.
  • Assist in selecting raw stock size.
  • Design work holding fixtures when applicable.
  • Troubleshoot programming issues during setup/first pieces and investigate cycle time reduction.
  • Maintain proper documentation including a library of programs.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Possess a deep understanding of CNC machine operations, reading blueprints, machining methodology, and ensuring quality control.
  • Proficient in G-code and CNC programming software (MasterCAM) to create and edit programs for complex parts.
  • Proper knowledge of feeds and speeds and proper tooling selection is required.
  • Must have strong problem-solving skills with an aptitude for troubling shooting and resolving technical issues.
  • Assist in machine setup and provide technical support.
  • Must be collaborative, working with engineering, machinist and quality control.
  • Must be able to inspect parts using typical inspection tools and techniques.
  • Attention to detail at the highest level is required.
  • Experience in working from prints required.
  • Strong commitment to achieving quality work.
  • Team player who will pitch in where needed to get the job done.
  • Meticulous record keeping with good computer skills.
  • Must be organized and maintain a clean working environment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor's in Engineering degree
  • 5+ years relevant experience
  • U.S. citizenship required, with ability to possess a security clearance
