Job DescriptionJob Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical Telemetry (Float Pool)Location: Hyannis, MADuration: 14 WeeksJob Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Medical/Surgical Telemetry Float Pool in an acute care setting. The RN will deliver high-quality patient care using the nursing process, monitor patient conditions, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
  • Administer medications and monitor patient responses
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and comprehensive patient documentation
  • Perform ongoing patient assessments, including physical, psychological, and social aspects
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans and communicate with care teams
  • Function as a charge nurse when required
  • Utilize computerized nursing systems and informatics tools effectively
  • Act as a resource for patient care, staff orientation, and education
  • Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
  • Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Support patient education, discharge planning, and continuity of care
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold professional standards

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Massachusetts
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
  • Must pass required Pharmacology and Basic Arrhythmia exams prior to start
  • Recent Med/Surg experience in an acute care setting (within last 2 years)
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Experience managing cardiac/telemetry patients
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification
