Job Summary
Basic Beginnings is seeking an experienced and energetic Infant/Toddler Teacher to join our team! You will be responsible for encouraging childrens intellectual, psychological, and physical growth. The ideal candidate is nurturing, patient, and creative. If you have a passion for helping children learn and reach their potential, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
- Must be able to plan and implement a curriculum
- Provide basic care and caregiving activities
- Evaluate children to ensure they are reaching developmental milestones
- Must communicate effectively with parents, children, and staff members
- Must be able to attend monthly staff meetings
- Patient, kind, and nurturing
- Must be able to bend & lift up to 40 pounds
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a licensed childcare center required
- EEC Teacher and/or Lead Teacher Certification Required
- Knowledgeable of EEC regulations and assessment tools such as Teaching Strategies Gold, Creative Curriculum, and others
- Strong understanding of child development
- Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills required
- Must possess classroom management skills
- Must possess effective behavior management skills
- Must have the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Required to maintain minimum workshop requirements
