Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

This opportunity is ideal for experienced perioperative nurses specializing in obstetric surgical support. The role involves comprehensive responsibilities in the operating room, supporting Cesarean-section procedures with meticulous preparation and maintenance of surgical instruments and the sterile field. Responsibilities:

  • Scrub for Cesarean-section surgeries, assisting throughout perioperative and intraoperative phases
  • Plan, prepare, and maintain surgical instrumentation and sterile fields in compliance with established protocols
  • Manage post-operative room and instrument decontamination to ensure readiness for subsequent procedures
  • Stock and organize supplies in the Operating Room, Labor Delivery Recovery (LDR) rooms, Nursery, and Postpartum areas
  • Remove outdated inventory and documentation following departmental guidelines
  • Perform a variety of non-direct patient care duties, including clerical work, supply management, and messenger tasks
  • Serve as unit secretary as needed to support departmental operations
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary childbirth teams to promote patient-family safety, satisfaction, and positive care outcomes
  • Be available for call rotations as necessary to support unit staffing demands

Qualifications:

  • Current nursing licensure with OR/perioperative nursing experience, preferably in obstetrics or childbirth-related procedures
  • Strong knowledge of surgical asepsis, instrumentation, and OR protocols
  • Ability to multitask and coordinate effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Schedule:

  • Two 12-hour day shifts per week
  • On-call availability required
