Seacoast Spine & Sports Injuries Clinic is a premium spine and sports injuries clinic with great company culture and we are seeking a positive, responsible, and committed employee with strong leadership skills to join our team. We are currently looking for a clinical assistant/chiropractic assistant/patient care coordinator. This position is an essential part of our team and plays a central role in the efficient running of our office and a primary role in assisting our patients transition through their rehab and reach their health and wellness goals.

This is a multi-disciplinary clinic with various medical professionals, including chiropractic sports doctors and physical therapists working together and coordinating care for the benefit of the patient. The main clinic is located in Portsmouth, NH. The facilities are brand-new and offer high-end comfort in a professional setting to ensure that our patients know that they are receiving a premium service. We have a satellite office in Alton and the successful candidate may be required to cover shifts in these offices at least 1-2 days per week so reliable transportation is a must.

The Position:

This position is an integral part of our total patient care, therefore reliability is of utmost importance. Successful candidates must possess and maintain a positive, friendly, patient-first attitude, they will be upbeat, efficient, respectful, informative, motivated, and skilled at diffusing stressful situations. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are a must, as is an ability to multi-task. They will possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and will demonstrate friendly but professional customer service and phone etiquette. They will be detail oriented and proficient in the use of standard office programs and technology with a willingness and comfort in learning to use new technologies.

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates must possess the following:

  • An ability to communicate effectively with clients, office staff, and other medical professionals.
  • Experience with rehabilitative exercise programs, chiropractic medicine, and physical therapy is a plus as is a working understanding of medical billing and coding.
  • A love for your vocation and a desire to assist patients in reaching their healthcare goals.
  • The ideal candidate may have a degree, credential, or training as a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), Physical Therapy Assistant/Aide (PTA), Medical Assistant (MA), Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA), Chiropractic Assistant (CA), Personal Trainer or Coach with their Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist Certification (CSCS), or a degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, or another similar field. (These certifications are preferred, but not required for this position.)

Expectations:

Successful candidates are expected to be able to do the following:

  • Check patients in and out, control patient flow, collect payments, and oversee appointment scheduling and follow-up.
  • Assist with patient therapy and rehab. This will include demonstrating, overseeing, and coaching patients on rehab exercise programs, performing therapeutic modalities at the direction of the clinician (including electrical muscle stimulation, ultrasound, cold laser therapy and others). (Training will be provided.)
  • Handle incoming phone calls.
  • Call to verify insurance benefits, set up patient accounts, and explain fees, services, and procedures.
  • Maintain professional documentation.
  • Develop and maintain office forms and procedures.
  • Assist with light office cleaning and maintenance.
  • Trouble shoot unexpected events.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner, and be timely and responsible.
  • Exercise discretion, handle confidential information, and meet deadlines.
  • Work well under pressure with accuracy and efficiency and to interact effectively and in a supportive manner with persons of all backgrounds.
  • Create an excellent experience for patients through a professional, caring, friendly, and helpful attitude.
  • Must be willing to work evenings and the occasional Saturday.

The positioned offered is part time but could develop into a full time position for the right candidate.
