Exciting opportunity for a Registered Nurse with school-based experience to work in a vibrant K-12 setting this summer! This contract position runs throughout July, offering mornings Monday through Thursday (8am–12pm) in the Penacook, NH area. Support students and staff while making use of your clinical expertise in a positive educational environment during summer programming.
Qualifications & Desired Background:
- Active RN license in New Hampshire
- Previous experience in a school setting or with pediatrics
- Familiarity with the health needs of K-12 students
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Flexibility and adaptability in a summer program environment
- Ability to respond calmly and efficiently in emergency situations
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct healthcare services to students and staff, including first aid and medication administration
- Manage chronic conditions, such as diabetes or asthma, and implement healthcare plans as needed
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure student well-being
- Respond to health-related emergencies and coordinate appropriate care or referrals
- Promote good hygiene and infection control practices throughout the summer program
- Support a positive and inclusive school culture by fostering student health and safety
