MAINTENANCE/JANITOR

We are looking for a top-notch MAINTENANCE/ JANITOR who will provide both general maintenance and janitorial services to maintain the One Cottage Street facility, grounds, and equipment for Riverside Industries, Inc.
Maintenance/Janitorial experience is required, as is general knowledge of maintenance and janitorial tools, equipment, and chemical cleaning supplies.
Maintenance/Janitorial Job Duties:
· Provide maintenance and janitorial services to all common areas of One Cottage Street facility
.Respond to all building emergencies during hours of operation, as well as nights, weekends, and holidays
·Perform rough and finish carpentry work for construction and repair projects
· Identify and perform basic repairs of plumbing leaks or breaks; open clogged lines or drains; replace minor plumbing parts
· Prepare surfaces and apply paint, enamel, lacquer varnish or stains; repair wall coverings
.Clean and sanitize bathrooms, program areas, office, and common areas
.Clear snow and debris from sidewalk, courtyard, and parking lots
.Be familiar with and follow instructions for all cleaning chemical solutions
.Properly label, dilute and safely use all cleaning and maintenance chemicals
Excellent body mechanics and strength requirements are needed.
A pre-employment physical exam and background check including CORI and fingerprinting are required.

Shift: Monday – Friday – 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM (flexible)
Rate: $23/hr.
Reports to: Facilities Director
