Title: EHS Manager - Direct Hire

What you'll be doing:
\n
\n

- Provide EHS leadership, guidance, resources, and support for the Cabot, Vermont campus, primarily focused at our Cutting and Wrapping facility.
- Develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs that promote safe work practices and employee engagement.
- Lead safety initiatives that foster a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement mindset.
- Conduct new hire safety orientation and deliver required annual training in accordance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and company requirements.
- Partner with leaders and employees to identify, evaluate, and mitigate workplace hazards.
- Serve as the primary resource and champion for Safety Committees, Emergency Response Teams, and site leadership.
- Lead incident investigations, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain all required EHS documentation, permits, records, and regulatory reports.
- Conduct facility inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate equipment, processes, and work environments for safety and ergonomic improvements.
- Recommend and implement appropriate engineering controls, administrative controls, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Track, analyze, and report EHS performance metrics, trends, and key performance indicators.
- Coordinate and support internal and external compliance audits and regulatory inspections.
- Assist with workers' compensation case management, return-to-work programs, and injury prevention initiatives.
- Monitor changes in EHS regulations and ensure ongoing compliance across both campuses.
- Support sustainability and environmental compliance initiatives, including waste management and environmental reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, engineering, and human resources teams to support business objectives and employee well-being.

What we are seeking:
\n
- \n
- Bachelor's degree in a related field of of study (e.g., industrial hygiene, occupational health and safety, engineering or technical preferred) with 3-5 years related experience in a manufacturing environment, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to lead EHS programs and influence safety performance at all levels of an organization.
- Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, management, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and EHS reporting systems.
- Ability to travel between facilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
