Step into a meaningful role supporting students in an educational setting! A contract opportunity is available for a dedicated PCA/Paraprofessional to work one-on-one with a student in a life skills program. This position spans the entirety of the school day, Monday through Friday, from 8:50 a.m. to 3:22 p.m., with the contract running through June 2026.
The ideal candidate will work closely with a student who requires academic assistance as well as support with daily living activities, including following a toileting plan and assisting with physical positioning. If you hold LNA or CNA credentials, you are also encouraged to apply, as those backgrounds are considered for this opening.
Key Qualifications:
- Experience as a paraprofessional or similar support role in a school or special education setting
- Comfort providing academic guidance and hands-on assistance with personal care tasks
- Familiarity with life skills programs or experience working with students with developmental or physical needs is a plus
- Patience, compassion, and strong communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teaching staff and related service providers
- Open to professionals with LNA/CNA certification
Core Responsibilities:
- Offer individualized academic support within the classroom environment
- Assist with personal care, including implementation of a toileting plan and repositioning as needed
- Maintain a positive and supportive learning space for the student
- Record and report on student progress and daily activities
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and school staff to promote student success
