Location: Floating between various properties in our portfolio of residential properties, to the North of Boston
About the Role:
The Regional Maintenance Floater plays a critical role in ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of facilities across multiple locations within the United States. This position involves traveling to various sites in our portfolio to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment issues, and execute repairs to minimize downtime. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, able to quickly assess and respond to diverse maintenance challenges, and work independently or as part of a team. By maintaining high standards of safety and quality, the Regional Maintenance Floater supports the overall productivity and success of the organization. This role requires a proactive approach to identifying potential problems and implementing effective solutions to sustain smooth operations across the region.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial or commercial maintenance.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical and electrical systems.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to travel frequently and work flexible hours as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Technical certification in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical maintenance.
- Experience working in a multi-site or regional maintenance role.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Strong knowledge of safety standards and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to operate specialized diagnostic tools and equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Travel to assigned regional sites to perform routine and emergency maintenance tasks on mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
- Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to identify and resolve potential equipment failures before they occur.
- Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs or coordinate with specialized technicians as needed to restore equipment functionality.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, parts used, and time spent on each task.
- Collaborate with site managers and other maintenance personnel to prioritize work orders and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

The required skills enable the Regional Maintenance Floater to efficiently diagnose and repair a wide range of equipment issues, ensuring minimal disruption to operations. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills are essential for identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. Communication and collaboration skills facilitate coordination with site personnel and management to prioritize and complete maintenance tasks. The ability to use CMMS software helps in tracking work orders and maintaining detailed maintenance records. Preferred skills such as technical certifications and familiarity with safety regulations enhance the candidate’s capability to perform complex repairs and maintain compliance with industry standards.
