Medical Director - Psychiatry
Location: Bedford, MA
Job Type: Full-Time / Part-Time
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and mission-driven Medical Director - Psychiatrist to provide clinical leadership across behavioral health programs, including PACT and outpatient services. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine direct patient care with leadership, program development, and strategic oversight.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Leadership & Patient Care

Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management

Provide consultation for complex and crisis cases

Ensure delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care
Supervision & Team Leadership

Supervise psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and other prescribers

Support staff development and conduct performance evaluations

Serve as clinical co-lead for multidisciplinary teams
Program Development & Strategy

Collaborate with leadership to design and expand clinical programs
-
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and treatment protocols

Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations
Collaboration & Operations
-
Maintain adequate psychiatric coverage across programs

Participate in committees, trainings, and organizational initiatives

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
Qualifications
-
MD or DO from an accredited medical school
-
Board Certified in Psychiatry
-
Active, unrestricted Massachusetts medical license
-
Valid DEA and Controlled Substances Registration

Proven experience in psychiatric care and clinical leadership

Proficiency with electronic health records
