Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity dedicated to supporting second and third grade students with developmental delays or intellectual impairments. This full-time role is based onsite, offering an engaging school environment where your expertise and commitment can make a meaningful impact. The schedule runs from 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with a start date as soon as possible and a tentative end date of June 25, 2026. You’ll work directly with students delivering both academic and behavioral interventions, collaborating closely with fellow educators, and employing strategies tailored to individual learning needs.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum one year of school-based experience required
  • Active Massachusetts DESE licensure in Moderate or Severe Disabilities is mandatory
  • Compliance with CORI background check and fingerprinting required (a Letter of Suitability from a previous employer may be considered)
  • Strong ability to adapt instructional approaches and materials for diverse learners
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs for students with developmental delays or intellectual impairments
  • Deliver direct instructional support in both group and one-on-one settings
  • Adapt curriculum and modify instruction to meet individual student needs
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to review progress and adjust goals
  • Maintain detailed documentation and participate in required meetings
  • Communicate regularly with families about student progress and strategies for success
