What you’ll do

  • Execute visual, dimensional, and functional inspections per in‑process procedures and the Control Plan.
  • Perform dimensional checks using calipers, micrometers, and vision systems; record results with accuracy.
  • Log statistical data on a computer and maintain required inspection records.
  • Apply everyday QA lab gaging and identify defects in molded and assembled parts.
  • Model reliability: consistent attendance, punctuality, and professional conduct.

Accountabilities

  • Follow sample retention procedures; generate labels for daily production retains/tailgates at the start of each shift.
  • Notify the Supervisor/Lead of nonconformances and carry out product rejection procedures.
  • Keep quality areas and equipment clean, organized, and ready.
  • Coordinate rework of nonconforming product in hold; perform final inspection on reworked product when instructed.
  • Partner effectively with others and operate independently as needed; take on other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of Quality Control experience; plastic injection molding exposure recommended.
  • English reading, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Competence with precision measurement tools and blueprint interpretation.
  • MS Word and Excel proficiency; SPC data familiarity.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.
  • Detail orientation with strong troubleshooting skills.

Domain skills

  • Quality inspection and Quality Control best practices
  • Manufacturing Instructions (MI), SOP adherence, and FDA-regulated environments
  • Pharmaceutical manufacturing awareness and QC data analysis

Equipment

  • Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) (Hexagon)
  • Vision System (Cognex)
  • Measurement gauges, calipers, and micrometers
