Position Type: Direct Hire (with benefits)
Pay Rate: $28/hr.
Shift: 1st Shift | 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
Pay Rate: $28.00/hour (Plus Year End Bonus)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Assembler & Tester Technician to support the production of mechanical pump systems in a fast-paced aerospace and manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on mechanical experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to follow technical instructions and safety standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform mechanical assembly and testing of hydraulic pump systems and components
- Use hand tools, power tools, precision instruments, and test equipment
- Interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and test specifications
- Identify and correct issues revealed during testing
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on test equipment
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in line with Lean manufacturing principles
- Maintain clean, organized, and FOD-free work areas according to 5S practices
- Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE in the test room environment
- Assist with training and mentoring of junior team members as needed
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of mechanical assembly or testing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in aerospace or automotive manufacturing preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hydraulic systems
- Able to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints
- Proficient with measuring instruments and basic math
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic computer proficiency
