Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into an impactful contract role supporting students as a high school Special Education Teacher for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year. This full-time position begins August 24th and continues through the end of the school year, providing a rewarding opportunity to shape academic and personal growth for students in grades 9–12.
Your expertise will be valued in an inclusion setting, where you will serve as an advisor and facilitate an advisory class. Additionally, you’ll provide academic assistance for four periods each day, empowering students to reach their highest potential within a supportive school community.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (appropriate for high school grades)
- Prior experience working with students in an inclusion environment is desirable
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, teachers, and families
- Ability to deliver targeted academic support and adapt teaching strategies to diverse learner needs
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as an advisor for assigned students, supporting both academic and social-emotional growth
- Lead an advisory class to help students build community and develop critical skills
- Deliver structured academic support in a variety of subjects, adapting instruction for individual learning needs
- Collaborate regularly with general education teachers and support staff to ensure student success
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation on student progress and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
