Description
American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring advanced telemetry experience, night shift availability, and an active NH or Compact RN license in hand.
Details
- Hospital-based float pool unit covering Med/Surg and Telemetry
- Advanced telemetry patient population including Cardizem drips, insulin drips (hyperglycemia, not DKA), and Phenobarbital administration
- 12-hour night shifts (7p–7a)
- 3 shifts per week, every other weekend required
- No on-call requirements
- Floating may be required within the facility
- Cerner EMR experience preferred but not required
Requirements
- Active NH or Compact RN license currently in hand — temporary licenses are not accepted
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
- Minimum 2+ years of acute care experience in a Med/Surg or Telemetry setting
- Advanced telemetry experience required
- 2 recent references from a Charge RN or Nurse Manager (no peers or coworkers) required for consideration
Additional Information
- First-time travelers with strong experience will be considered
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are eligible but will be offered a local pay rate
- No RTO will be approved for the July 4th holiday period (7/2–7/5)
- All requested time off must be disclosed upfront at the time of consideration
- Weekly orientation provided
- Former permanent staff are eligible to return as a traveler after a 12-month break in service
- 3 professional references are required upon commitment (at least 2 from leadership)
