Master's degree in Occupational Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1+ year of Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for a full-time, onsite occupational therapist to serve a K-12 school setting across a supervisory union of eight schools in the Rutland, VT area. The position follows the traditional school year calendar with a start date of August 27, 2025, and includes potential pre-planning days. The role is a contract position designed for an itinerant OT providing services to multiple school locations, with travel times ranging from 15-20 minutes to the furthest school at approximately 50 minutes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver occupational therapy services focusing on gross motor skills to students from PreK-12.
- Provide both in-person and teletherapy interventions as needed.
- Manage a caseload of approximately 50-55 students, with a 50/50 split alongside a district OT.
- Collaborate with school staff to design individualized treatment plans.
- Travel between assigned schools within the supervisory union to support student needs.
- Participate in pre-planning and ongoing professional development.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Occupational Therapist with experience in school-based and teletherapy settings.
- Skilled in addressing gross motor skills development in children.
- Ability to manage an itinerant caseload across multiple locations.
- Strong munication and collaboration skills within multidisciplinary teams.
